Saudamini Deo is a writer, photographer, translator. She has studied English and comparative literatures at Miranda House and Jadavpur University. Her words and images have been published in Scroll.in, Words Without Borders, 3:AM Magazine, Sangam House Reader, Sultan’s Seal, Seagull Books catalogue, Documentum, etc. She is also the co-founding editor of the esoteric literary journal RIC Journal. Her short story The Autobiography of a Girl from an Undiscovered Planet was shortlisted for the DWL short story contest in 2017 and she was awarded the Sangam House residency for fiction in 2018. She has read papers in national and international conferences, and also regularly collaborates on medico-literary articles for international medical journals like The Lancet Neurology, The Lancet Oncology, Journal of the Neurological Sciences, European Journal of Internal Medicine, etc. She also co-edited VIth Colloque International De Pathographie published in 2017 by De Boccard, Paris. 

Currently working on her first work of experimental fiction.
